Gender Reveal Party!!! It's a .............!!!!

Friday January 20th, 2012 was a VERY exciting day!!! We got an envelope at our Level II ultrasound appointment on Wednesday with the gender of our baby. We anxiously took the envelope to Macy's (withOUT looking at it!!!!) and picked out a boy outfit and a girl outfit. I then gave the envelope, outfits, and my credit card to the cashier. I told her to open the envelope and see what it said, purchase the appropriate outfit, and put everything in a box with A LOT of tape!!!! She was so excited about it! I then walked around the store for a bit and came back for my box!! On Friday we had over family & even had a video-call with out of state family to share with us opening the box! 20 weeks & overjoyed!!!

Hi Family & Friends!

Yesterday was a VERY important and exciting day for Jim and I! We had our appointment with the specialist at Maternal Fetal Medicine for a Level II ultrasound. This was ordered by my regular OB due to my hypothyroidism. We both, of course, got a bit nervous about it. Our last ultrasound was at 13 weeks so I was excited to see how much baby had grown. The tech first did the scan and even used "warmed" gel. How nice, right? Anyway, first we saw the inside of the brain! How cool! All was good and she told us what she was looking at and most of the time we followed. I said something about getting the sex of baby in an envelope and wondered when she would ask us when to turn away. She responded "I took a peek" and knew already! I told her she was very sly!! I told Jim the whole time I have been feeling girl vibes, but since she said that I was thinking boy since all she had to do was peek and knew. Jim is the opposite thinking boy the whole time and after yesterday thinks girl now. LOL!

Anyway, then Dr. Duval came in and went over history and details. He then scanned the baby too and told us what he saw and how that ruled out defects/abnormalities. We learned so much & were SO thrilled that all was healthy! Baby weighed 14 ounces yesterday! Almost a pound! Funny because I have gained a little bit more weight than 1 lb!! lol

Jim and I left with our special envelope to reveal the sex of our miracle baby. We were both so exited and had huge smiles on our face after this appointment. I still can't believe this is finally happening to us and am SO thankful to God that the baby is healthy!!!! Hallelujah!!!

First Fetal Flutters!

I believe I may have felt some "popcorn" flutters around 17 1/2 weeks. At 18 weeks I was a little more aware of them and now as I am typing this blog entry I am 19 weeks and have been feeling them frequently! My friend Katie described them as "popcorn" and I decided that was a great analogy! They started really soft and I could only feel them if I was sitting down REAL still (which doesn't happen very often) but now I am feeling them more frequently and they are so fun!

17 weeks!

At our 17 week appointment we did get to hear the heart beat again on the Doppler. Heart rate was 155 b.p.m. We didn't get any ultrasound pictures. We also had to wait over an hour for her because she was in a birth! It was so worth it when we heard baby again!

Christmas Stocking

Merry Christmas!

I found this adorable mini baby stocking that was so perfect! B for baby! What an extra exciting Christmas this was! Baby even got a few gifts already!

13 weeks! Yeah!!!

November 29th, 2011

This was an exciting appointment because we got a new picture of our little one. The OB said that it kinda looked like a teddy bear now with small arms and legs, which is so fitting because its first nickname has been "Baby Bear"! We also got to hear the baby's heartbeat for the first time on the Doppler! 150 b.p.m.! Amazing!

1st OB apt - 9 weeks pregnant!

November 1st, 2011

This was our first appointment with a new OB. It was a very long appointment and we did get a quick peek at the baby. It was the first time getting an abdominal ultrasound, so you will notice it looks quite different than the other pictures. So thrilled to see baby again!

1st seen Heartbeat!!

October 18th, 2011

This was a wonderful, exciting day! I was 7 weeks pregnant at this visit and we were hoping we would be able to see a heart beat and praise god we did!!! What a surreal day! We were both nervous...Jim more than me... and both SO EXCITED!! We then had a close out meeting with my fertility doctor that I love so much! She was very excited for us. The heart rate was 153 b.p.m. I also got pictures, magazines, readings, etc. from the office, it was an awesome day!!!

1st Ultrasound!

October 7th, 2011

This is the picture from our first ultrasound. Jim was on jury duty, so unfortanately had to miss it. My mom came with me for this exciting and nervous day. All look well so far and I was 5 weeks 3 days pregnant!

I'm pregnant!

September 28th, 2011

This was the day I decided in my head that I should do a home test before my actual pregnancy test at the office. All the tests say to use your first morning urine because it has the strongest concentration of HCG (pregnancy hormone). My mind was excited because I was up at 3:00 a.m. ready to go. After much debate in my head, (go now, go again then test, go now, because maybe later won't be enough, etc.) I decided to go then! My hand was a little shaky as I was nervous! As I saw a 2nd line appear I just kept saying "Thank you God!" I then went into the bedroom "Honeeeeeey....I took a test" Jim did not jump out of bed to see it (did I mention it was 3:00 a.m.!), so instead I took a picture of it and showed it to him! Needless to say going back to sleep did not happen for me, as I was too excited!!!

Transfer Day!

Monday September 19th, 2011

This day was our very special transfer day! The large black area on this picture was my FULL bladder and the white area below it was the embryos in a fluid. The whole experience was AMAZING! The staff was so great and I was VERY relaxed! They had me take a valium, and wow did that stuff work! A very special day to always remember!
